Rosa is the daughter of Merris Wallulatum Sr. and Karen Wallulatum.  Her mother Karen
served as a Seekseequa district tribal council woman for four terms in the 1970’s and 1980’s.
Rosa attended Madras High School and Chemawa Indian Board School.  She received her GED
in 1983.  Rosa began working for the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs in the Head Start
program in 1992.   She continued her education and earned her Bachelor’s degree in 2000
from Eastern Oregon University with a major in Education and a minor in English.  She taught
first grade and second grade at the Warm Springs Elementary.  She later worked for the Warm
Springs Early Childhood Education Center as a Head Start Teacher.  She also worked for the
Warm Springs Vocational Rehabilitation Program as a counselor.
Rosa and her husband Brent have raised four children and are blessed with 16 grandchildren,
all of whom she loves dearly.  They also cared for and raised numerous nephews and nieces.
She is involved in various family hobbies including fishing, hunting, picking huckleberries, root
digging, camping, and participating in and watching her grandchildren’s school and sports
activities.
This is Rosa’s first term serving on tribal council and she finds it challenging yet very
beneficial.  She is proud and honored to have a seat at the table with knowledgeable and
respectful tribal councilman.
