“As of 4:30p on 6/16/2020 – Warm Springs Health and Wellness Center has sent in or tested 813 Total Tests, 725 Total Negative, 35 Test Pending, 50 Total Positive Cases, 3 Total Invalid, 4 Hospitalized, 2 Discharged, 42 Recovered. Note – the STATE lab is taking 24-48 hours for results Our testing capability currently stands at 337 STATE and 383 ABBOTT test kits. We continue to do random surveillance testing of our high-risk community members. Related CoVID-19 rumor control: the Warm Springs CoVID-19 Response team has heard that a parent or guardian could lose a child due to testing positive with Corona Virus-19. The Oregon Department of Human Services, News Release, May 22, 2020 noted under fact #3 “Oregon Child Welfare will not place children in foster care because their parents or caregivers are diagnosed with COVID-19” Also under 4 Reminders about child welfare during the COVID-19 pandemic—see reminder # 3: “Children may stay with caregivers who test positive for covid-19—A parent or caregiver with COVID-19 or another severe illness would never be the reason for a child to be placed in foster care.” See COVID-19 Resources:
