“I wanted to take minute to recognize and thank the CoVID Response Team, Tribal Council and our community leaders for the amazing job you all have been doing over these many months in response to the pandemic we call COVID-19. Our community needed you and you responded. We have all pulled together to support one another and to provide the best care we can to our Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs communities. As we have begun the process of dispensing the mRNA Moderna vaccine, we can all start to see a glimmer of hope and light at the end of the COVID tunnel.

We still have a ways to go and we still need to practice our masking, social distancing and top notch hand hygiene practices, so we continue to protect one another and our community until everyone who chooses is vaccinated. I’m hoping and paying you all consider getting vaccinated to protect yourself, but also to protect our community from the virus. From my family to yours, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.” Hyllis D. Dauphinais, Sr.
