“As of 4:35p on 6/25/2020 – Warm Springs Health and Wellness Center has sent in or tested 973 Total Tests, 884 Total Negative, 23 Test Pending, 63 Total Positive Cases, 3 Total Invalid, 4 Hospitalized, 3 Discharged, 46 Recovered. Note – the STATE lab is taking 24-48 hours for results Our testing capability currently stands at 283 STATE and 282 ABBOTT test kits. We continue to do random surveillance testing of our high-risk community members. A Boil Water Notice is issued for the Warm Springs Agency Water System. “This boil water notice applies to all residences and business in the Warm Springs agency area. Bring tap water to a rolling boil, boil for one minute, and cool before using. The Warm Springs Tribal Council recently approved a resolution to establish the CARES Emergency and Disaster Relief General Welfare program-Resolution 12699. The Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security Act (“CARES Act”) allows our Tribal Government “….to fund a social and economic safety net to ensure individuals’ access to essential services and to support their basic and necessary living needs as a result of the COVID-19 public health emergency;….” Tribal Council understands the needs of our tribal membership due to the impacts of the Corona Virus-19 on our lives and asks for patience while the program is developed. A CARES Act Emergency and Disaster Relief Program Administrator needs to be hired. Administrative procedures need to be developed to meet allowable expenses by tribal members that are caused by Corona Virus-19.
