“As of 9:20 am, 10/9/2020 – Warm Springs Health and Wellness Center has sent in or tested 3680 Total Tests, 3332 Total Negative, 2 tests Pending, 324 Total Positive Cases (50 Positive test from other facilities, 366 Total), 22 Total Invalid, 41 Hospitalized, 40 Discharged and 9 Deaths. There are currently 19 persons with active COVID-19 receiving daily monitoring by Tribal and IHS staff and 22 close contacts receiving daily monitoring. Thursday – 10/8 a total of 22 tested, 1 new positive and 11 total for the week, 1 Current Hospitalization, 0 on ventilator.” Dauphinais, Hyllis, CEO, Warm Springs and Wellness Center, CoVID-19 Update

The Lionshead fire is at 46 % contained and is impacting air quality—air quality this morning is Moderate – AQI = 57-82.

The Oregon Health Authority reported this week that they recorded the single day largest increase in CoVID-19 positive cases. The trend across the State is not good. We have been holding steady and need to keep on this CoVID-19 safety practices. Masking up, social distancing, limiting our gatherings to immediate family only and controlling who visits your household.

A fun holiday like Halloween still has to practice safe CoVID-19 measures. This dangerous disease is transmitted person to person.

Reminder: Flu shots are available at the IHS clinic. Check schedule and do one more thing that protects your families and community.
