“As of 9:11am, 8/26/2020 – Warm Springs Health and Wellness Center has sent in or tested 2578 Total Tests, 2364 Total Negative, 25 Tests Pending, 254 Total Positive Cases (45 Positive test from other facilities), 19 Total Invalid, 33 Hospitalized, 32 Discharged and 7 Deaths. There are currently 30 persons with active COVID-19 receiving daily monitoring by Tribal and IHS staff and 62 close contacts receiving daily monitoring by IHS staff. (As of Tuesday 8/25 a total of 38 tested. 0 new positive; 1 current hospitalization –on ventilator; and 1 new COVID death).” Dauphinais, Hyllis, CEO, Warm Springs Health and Wellness Center, CoVID-19 Update

“What you need to know—In general, the more closely you interact with others and the longer that interaction, the higher the risk of COVID-19 spread. If you return to work, continue to protect yourself by practicing everyday preventive actions. Keep these items on hand when returning to work: a mask, tissues, and hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol, if possible.” CDC-Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

Fires: those with sensitivity to poor quality air, stay inside, use air cleaners, avoid smoky areas. Lionshead containment at 8% and North Butte at 50%.
