“As of 9:26 am, 11/17/2020 – Warm Springs Health and Wellness Center has sent in or tested 4531 Total Tests, 4121 Total Negative, 1 tests Pending, 385 Total Positive Cases (56 Positive test from other facilities, 441 Total), 22 Total Invalid, 47 Hospitalized, 47 Discharged and 10 Deaths. There are currently 48 persons with active COVID-19 receiving daily monitoring by Tribal and IHS staff and 42 close contacts receiving daily monitoring. Monday – 11/16 a total of 101 tested, 15 newpositive, 15 total positives for the week; 49 Rapid, 10 positive; 51 BinaxNow, 3 positive; 1 State, 0 positive returned from State; 2 positive reported by other healthcare facility.” Dauphinais, Hyllis, CEO, Warm Springs and Wellness Center, CoVID-19 Update

The Warm Springs Tribal Council, will follow Covid Response Teams recommendations to do a 50 percent closure of the Tribal Government for two weeks starting tomorrow. We will use the State of Oregon two week freeze guidelines. Essential workers will keep working. Another meeting is scheduled to monitor Covid numbers-if warranted further actions may be necessary to protect the Warm Springs community.

Our neighbors around us represented by Governor Brown has issued a two week State Wide Freeze (effective November 18th through December 2nd.

Much thanks to our Warm Springs Tribal Council and Governor Brown, Oregon Health Authority to take actions to slow the spread of this deadly disease. It is great news that vaccines are on the way but that is months away. Remember any gathering is dangerous; Stay strong.
